Nokian Tyres Case Study
Nokian Tyres has taken an RFID based Manufacturing Execution
System into use in their tyre manufacturing process. The solution is probably
the first and largest production deployment of UHF RFID based system in Finland.
To optimize their manufacturing process and better control key assets, Nokian
Tyres wanted to automate their Kanban process, and so evaluated different
automated identification (ID) solutions and technologies. The combined expertise
and products of Trackway, Elektrobit and Confidex was selected to meet Nokian
Tyres’ challenge.
